The Leaders in Training Program is a leadership development program designed to provide teens with the skills and knowledge to interact and communicate successfully with individuals and lead groups of all ages.
Megan grew up in Milford, OH and currently resides in Sharonville, OH.
Megan joins Kids First after 6 years with the YMCA, the last two years with the ME Lyons YMCA in Anderson, Ohio where she served as the Family Life Director, overseeing day camps, before and after school programs, preschool and enrichment programs. After graduating college, Megan spent a year and half working as the Marketing Director for the Florence Freedom Professional Baseball Team in Florence, KY where she handled all marketing and media relations and directed 2 major concerts for the band STYX and country music artist Dierks Bentley.
She graduated Cum Laude from the College of Mount St. Joseph in 2010 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Sports Management and a minor in Business Administration. She played basketball at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio for one year and at MSJ for two years where she was voted to two All-Tournament teams. She forewent playing her senior year to begin coaching high school girls basketball at Clermont Northeastern High School in Batavia, Ohio where she coached for 2 seasons. Megan coached at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy for two years and now utilizes her basketball skills for the Ronnie Grandison Basketball Academy inside of Kids First working as a basketball coach!
A native Cincinnatian, Megan enjoys attending Reds games and Cincinnati sporting events, but is also an avid Tennessee Lady Vols basketball fan.
Megan is most excited about revamping the Kids First camp experience, and progressing campers from day camp through the new LIT program, and through their many years after Kids First as successful, thriving adults. Her goal is for camp to be a fun and exciting place for kids to be, a place where our former campers want to come back and work, a place where parents feel safe to send their child, and a place that everyone talks about sending their kids to!
