Patty Pille's School of Dance is for all ages beginning with our Magical Movement classes. Magical Movement (2 1/2-4 years) teaches motor skills, imagination, coordination, colors, rhythm, self-esteem and how to follow directions. In addition to Magical Movement we have all levels of Dance classes. Not only is dance good for you physically and mentally, but it's also a lot of fun! It's never too late to start.

Safety for Young Joints
In the Kids First tradition of safety, our dance studio is furnished with a 'Dance-Flex' floor. This unique suspended hardwood floor was designed exclusively for the benefit of our students. Two layers of high density closed cell foam, combined with three layers of wood allow this floor to flex approximately 1/4" on take-offs and landings, dramatically reducing stress on young (and older joints).

Magical Movement (Ages 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 years old)
This class is an enrichment program designed to help all boys and girls

introduce simple dance steps and vocabulary
develop an appreciation of music
ignite the power and excitement of the imagination
remove inhibitions and social blocks
develop an appreciation of innate value and uniqueness of self

Recital
Our yearly recital is not a recital at all. In fact, it is a fully choreographed ballet, complete with story line and lead dancers. This allows even the youngest dancers to follow along, making the recital more meaningful to them (and more enjoyable for the parents to watch!).

What to Wear
Girls wear a leotard and tights or capri pants. Please no bare legs and any skirts must be above the knee level. Pink ballet shoes preferred (pink is required for the year-end ballet). Jazz and tap shoes should be black for both boys and girls. Boys wear a men's dance unitard or tight fitting shirt and shorts or sweat pants and ballet shoes.
