Longer Terms!
Giving careful consideration to he many school systems we serve, Kids First molds the year into 5 Terms (formerly six) after carefully considering the vagaries of the international calendar; the many local school systems we serve; community sports programs; holidays.

Priority Deadline
Priority Deadline is the deadline by which Current Students must pay tuition or forfeit their priority over New or Previous Students. Families who would rather not worry about the Priority Deadline should consider Pay-In-Advance or Credit Card On File.

Pay-In-Advance: Simply pay for multiple TERMS in advance and lock-in your priority STATUS for up to the entire school year. In the event your personal schedule changes and you cannot fulfill the obligations for which you have paid, notify us in writing BEFORE the start of the Term and your money will be refunded within 14 days. Not available for Summer Flexi-Schedule.

Credit Card On File: We will securely keep your credit card on file and automatically charge tuition against it each term until you notify us otherwise. Change requests must be made in accordance with all regular procedures. Not available for Summer Flexi-Schedule.

* Priority Deadline is for Current Students, New Students DO NOT WAIT for Priority Deadline...REGISTER AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE.
** Term V features FLEXI-SCHEDULE...Register for ONLY the weeks you'll be in town!

New Students
Register anytime, in fact, as soon as possible (disregard the Priority Deadline which applies only to Current and Previous Students). Upon receipt, New Student registrations are dated and placed in the Holding File. After the Priority Deadline passes, the Holding File is opened and New Students are placed in class based on their dated order. Assume your 1st class choice has been accepted, as Kids First will not contact you unless there is a difficulty supplying your 1st class choice. Remember, "no news is good news." Please keep your YELLOW COPY of the registration form as a record of your class choices.

Current Students
Kids First's tuition payment procedure is similar to many colleges. Current Students have priority over New Students if tuition is paid on or before the Priority Deadline. If a Current Student fails to pay tuition by the Priority Deadline, priority is forfeited and New Students or Previous Students are placed in class. Note that Current Students must request class changes before the Priority Deadline in order to have priority.

Previous Students
Previous Students are given priority over New Students BUT ONLY IF the registration is received before thePriority Deadline. Previous Students status is extended to all immediate family members of any family who is current with their $35 Annual Administration Fee.

Payment Specifics
Pay by check, MC, Visa, Discover, or American Express. New NSF Check Policy: If your check is returned for non-sufficient funds (NSF), our bank will electronically debit your checking account for the amount of the check PLUS A PROCESSING FEE OF $30.00.
Mail-in registration/payments are preferred, as it allows our front office team to process registrations in off-peak hours, allowing us to better serve our clients. Also note, we have an on-site tuition drop-off slot located at the far right side of our front counter (near the wall).

**Also Credit Card payment is now available online.

$35 Annual Family Administration Fee
The $35 per family fee is due upon initial registration and on your anniversary date, thereafter. This fee defrays Kids First's administrative costs and bestows Previous Students status to any immediate family member of a Current Student.

20% Family Discount!!!
When more than one immediate family member is enrolled at the same time, ONLY the most expensive tuition in your family pays full fare; ALL lesser tuitions are discounted 20% (non-Kids First programs excluded).

100% Tuition-Back Guarantee
For families brand new to Kids First. If after your family's first Term of classes you are not entirely happy, Kids First will gladly refund 100% of your tuition for that Term.

Q & A

1. How Often is Tuition Due?
2. What is the Priority Deadline?
3. When is the Priority Deadline?
4. Can I drop my chil(ren) off for classes?
5. WIll you notify me to confirm my class choice?

6. Why don't you phone Current Students to remind them that they missed the Priority Deadline?
7. What is the $35 annual Family Administrative Fee for?
8. Why are some Terms 10 weeks in length while other are 9, yet tuition remains level?
9. Do you offer make-ups?

Q:How Often Is Tuition Due?
A: We have 5 terms throughout the year and tuition is due in advance of each term (Priority Deadline).  Before each term we send home a tuition payment reminder.  Just include a check or credit card number and drop the payment in our handy drop box at the front desk.  Also, now available is ON-LINE registration/payment with credit cards.

Q: What Is the PRIORITY DEADLINE?
A:That is the date when tuition is due for Current Students. Current Students MUST pay tuition by this date to be guaranteed their current class spot for the next term (paying by PDD does not guarantee your new class time in the event you desire a change however it does give you priority over new students). This system exists to prevent overloading classes.

Q:When is the PRIORITY DEADLINE?
A:Three weeks before each term begins (except Fall term which is one month previous).

Q :Why Does Kids First Refund Tuition After Your First Term If You're Not Pleased?
A: The real value in our programs can only be measured over the long run. However, kids learn on their own schedule and we know that if a child is not 'ready' for a particular program now, given time, he is likely to want to 'try again' at some future date. We also know that you will be less hesitant to 'give it another try' if you feel you have not wasted your money the first time around.

Q :Can I drop my child(ren) off for classes?
A: Kids First makes concerted effort to prevent unauthorized persons from entering the premises including the use of video surveillance. However, it is impossible to always distinguish an adult intent on abducting a child from a parent legitimately waiting for their child. Kids First is NOT equipped to supervise children before or after classes. Parents of children who are unable to safely supervise themselves are to stay ON SITE during their child's class and be at appropriate pickup area when class ends. Thank you for helping facilitate safety for all children.

Q :Will you notify me to confirm my class choice?
A: No. Our practice is to phone only the few who do not receive their first class choice. To help you remember for which class you registered, keep your yellow copy of the registration form and remember, "no news is good news."

Q :Why don't you phone Current Students to remind them that they missed the Priority Deadline?
A: Because it is not feasible. If you are concerned about forgetting the Priority Deadline, please consider our two payment alternatives: Pay in Advance or Credit Card on File.

Q :What is the $35 annual Family Administrative Fee for?
A: To encourage consistency in attendance over the year. The benefits of any educational program comes from long term involvement and our choice to charge an annual administrative fee rather than slightly increasing tuition over the year is to encourage consistency. It may help to remind readers that some industries such as martial arts and health clubs opt for yearly contracts while others such as academic schools and some dance schools opt for semester payments. Our 'soft' approach still allows in/out flexibility for those families who need it for one reason or another.

Q :Why are some Terms 10 weeks in length while other are 9, yet tuition remains level?
A: For the same reason it is not feasible for institutions to charge varying amounts for rents, mortgages or auto payments, even though the months range from 28-31 days. Depending on the year-to-year vagaries of the international calendar, holidays, numerous school systems, community sports programs and repair and maintenance needs, there remains 47 or 48 weeks to divide into five Terms averaging about 9.5 weeks in length. Kids First then calculates its yearly operational costs and spreads that out throughout the five Terms.

Q :Do you offer make-ups?
A: We offer make-ups in programs where doing so does not jeopardize safety or the integrity of the class. Click here for more detailed make-up information.
