Hello Kids First families!

We are so excited to write this email! As you likely know, Ohio has started relaxing the mandatory closing orders and begun the process of getting Ohioans and businesses like Kids First back to work. We understand that many of you have been anxiously awaiting our reopen. So have we!  We also realize that you may have some apprehension regarding how Kids First is going to open safely. Please know that your goal is our goal; to keep you and your family healthy and safe while we get back to classes. As we start getting back to our daily lives, we all have different comfort levels. Regardless of yours, we will be here to welcome you when the timing is right for your family.

SCHEDULING DETAILS, FAMILY LOYALTY CREDITS & TUITION

We have been planning for this! In the coming weeks, Kids First will finally resume programming for our instructional classes~ and we can’t wait!

START DATE

Starting Monday, June 1 Kids First will open our doors to our summer day camp and the Campus at Kids First! On Wednesday, June 3 we will resume swim lessons. We are happy to announce that we recently received confirmation that we’re cleared to resume gymnastics and cheer programming, as well as all other sports/activities that we offer at Kids First.

On Saturday, June 6, we will begin gradually phasing in much of our instructional programming including Boys & Girls Gym Jam, Trampoline & Tumbling, Cheer Classes, Tumble Bees and Fencing. Our remaining programs are working around the clock to prepare their schedules and space for a gradual June start date. Any program that phases in later than June 6 will be prorated. We will communicate those details in the coming days.

CLASS SCHEDULES

Because of the new capacity guidelines & traffic flow patterns that we must follow, and the necessary cleaning procedures between classes, we’ve made minor adjustments to some of our instructional class times. Our schedules will be published by next week, and you will be notified if your child’s class time has been adjusted. All of our currently enrolled families will have priority registration before we open registration to the general public.

FAMILY LOYALTY CREDITS

First, thank you! Your generous support over the past 2 months has literally afforded us the ability to prepare for this reopen. As promised, your generosity and support will not be forgotten. Our Hospitality Department will apply Family Loyalty or Tuition Relief Credits accordingly. No action will be required to redeem them.

TUITION

June tuitions will not be processed before May 30. This will allow us to confirm our class schedules, and help you to determine if you wish to make class changes. Any program that phases in later than June 6 will be prorated.

VIRTUAL PROGRAMMING

This extended pause has created some opportunities that we wish to share with you. Some departments have been able to create a virtual programming option for our currently enrolled families at no additional cost for the month of June. Our Virtual Academy will feature some of your favorite teachers with videos that bring Kids First into your homes. These are again just an added value to being apart of our Kids First family.

PARTNERSHIP: We can’t do this without you.

We are imploring you, our Kids First families, to become our partners as we take these next important steps forward. We have implemented new disinfecting and sanitizing procedures, taken extreme steps to promote physical distancing, and developed many processes specific to our instructional programs. These steps are a crucial part of our commitment to resuming business, and allow us to open our doors.

On each program's page of our website, you will see a "Guide to Return". This guide will be your family’s road map to a safe and healthy return to classes at Kids First. We will clearly communicate the following protocols that we have implemented as they apply to our instructional programming. It will be critical for you to review this guide with your student prior to returning to class.

  • Pick Up/Drop Offs, Entrance/Exit
  • Wellness Checks
  • Class Modifications & Cleaning
  • Physical Distancing, Modified Groups, Training Hours
  • Traffic Patterns (inside the building)

We have nervous excitement as we reopen our doors! Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation as we open our doors and get back to doing what we love to do; teaching kids!!!

Before I close, I would like to thank you. Your support and patience has been monumental in helping us get through this painful time. Your partnership moving forward is not only critical, but appreciated beyond measure.
