Queen City Storm Cheer & Dance FAQs

1. What do we wear to class?

Shorts, tee shirts, leotards, tanks, and stretch pants.

2. Do they need shoes?

Shoes are discouraged. If shoes are preferred, only “cheer” style shoes are acceptable. These are specially made for tumbling on our spring floors.

3. Do we need to stay for the whole class?

Only parents of our Cheery O’s students (ages 4-6 yrs.) are asked to stay in the Kids First building in case of a restroom emergency.

4. What if I miss a class?

Kids First provides the flexibility of make-up lessons. Call the Hospitality team (513-489-7575) and schedule a make-up class on another convenient day and time.

5. How do I know when my child should move to the next class?

Cheer classes are grouped by school grade levels:

  • Cheery O’s 4-6yrs
  • 1st-6th grade
  • 7th-12th grade

6. What if there are diverse skill levels in a class?

All Cheer students follow our established skill progressions.Though some are working at fundamental levels while others are at more advanced levels, the goal is to make sure all students are challenged. If a class has more than eight athletes it is split into two groups.
