FAQ's
Q: What is the Tumble Bees Recital?
A: Our annual recital is a celebration of our Bee's learning and hard work! It's a great opportunity for our families to see all of the fun things we do each week in class on the exciting Tumble Bees stage under the big lights!
Each participating Tumble Bee will have multiple appearances on stage. Each age group will perform a simple choreographed dance, and demonstrate their tumbling skills. Each child will also have a "cameo" moment (which is really just a very adorable moment on stage that you'll definitely want to have your camera ready for!)
Q: How will my child learn what they will do on stage?
A: Our weekly curriculum will incorporate the dances and skills your child will perform into our regular Tumble Bees class time as a warm-up or a bonus activity. A week before our recital your child will have an opportunity to rehearse on our stage with music and lights. They will be shown how they enter and exit the stage, meet their castmates and get to know their recital teacher! Rehearsal can be especially helpful to settle any nerves for your child (and their grown-ups!) if they've never performed on stage before!
Q: This sounds so cute! My child has never done anything like this before. What if he melts down or gets nervous?
A: It is so cute! Almost all of our participants are on stage for the first time, and we are totally ready for it! Because they're familiar with the space, it's usually not a big deal once we add the lights and audience! However...kids are kids and always unpredictable! Your child's age group will have two Tumble Bees teachers with them the entire time (yes, even on stage), and they are all well-versed in how to help our friends regulate big feelings.
Q: What should my child wear?
A: Each participant will receive a costume. Girls receive a leotard and costume accessory; boys receive a t-shirt and costume accessory.
Q: Can my family attend?
A: The more the merrier! You will get two tickets for each child participating in the recital. If you would like extra tickets, they can be purchased through the hospitality department for $10/ea.
Q: What if I have a child under two.
Do they need a ticket?
A: Like your favorite airline, we do not require a ticket to be purchased for a lap child. If your child would prefer a seat, they will need a ticket.
Q: Where is the show?
A: Kids First Sports Center in the Tumble Bees gym.
